Births include still births and live births where the birth weight was at least 400 grams or the gestational age was 20 weeks or more.
Numerator includes births to mothers aged less than 15 years.
Analysis by state and territory, remoteness and SEIFA Index of Relative Socioeconomic Disadvantage (IRSD) is based on usual residence of mother.
Presented per 1,000 population.
