Guide for use:
CODE 1 Formal self-assessment
The service provider organisation undertakes formal self-assessment, on a routine basis, against the agreed criteria outlined in the defined industry standards.
A formal self-assessment should involve a number of aspects, including the planning and development of a clear structure for the assessment process; the use of an accepted evaluation method such as a peer review; and the use of validated tools where these are available.
CODE 2 In-depth external review
The service provider organisation routinely undergoes an in-depth review against the defined industry standards by an independent external reviewer. This may take place in the context of an accreditation process for the service provider organisation.
