The urgency related group (URG) is derived from the urgency disposition group (UDG) which classifies patients into 12 groups based on disposition (admitted or discharged) and urgency (triage category 1-5), including a category for patients who did not wait for treatment as well as an optional category for patients who died.
The URG classification system segments the UDG classification system further by using 26 major diagnostic blocks.
