Health expenditure:

This is a significant element of non-salary recurrent expenditure for most establishments within the Public hospital establishments National minimum data set and is thus required for any health expenditure analysis at the national level.

Mental health establishments NMDS:

For the Mental health establishments national minimum data set reporting of this data element is optional for non-government residential mental health services and specialised mental health services provided by private hospitals that receive State or Territory government funding.
